Groovy Green Bean is an eco-friendly tshirt company based in Worcester, MA. The theme of our shirts is "Be Green, Be Groovy".

Our shirts are all made from organic cotton grown in the USA. The shirts are sewn and garment dyed here too. We then silkscreen our Groovy Green Bean designs onto the shirts using eco-friendly water-based inks.

Our mission is to promote living a green and sustainable lifestyle with our Groovy Green Bean message. We give our customers a creative, fashionable, funky way to spread the message.

Pick Up America is an Inspiration

So, I saw an interesting clip tonight on the evening news about an organization called Pick Up America. It's a bunch of young people traveling across the USA in a bus fueled by waste vegetable oil. They are stopping along highways and byways to pick up the trash and to make people more aware of their trash.

Canning isn't so hard after all

I’ve wanted to learn how to can tomatoes for a while now. Actually several years! Growing up, as the summer days grew shorter and Autumn was upon us, I helped my mother fill many cupboards with canned tomatoes and tomato sauce in addition to pickles, jams, and numerous other goodies. I knew the nutritional value and taste were far superior to anything store-bought.

Food Day October 24

Hey, so Monday is Food Day. Check out www.foodday.org for more details, but the idea behind it is to change the way that we think about food, to get us to eat REAL food rather than fast or processed food. We all know the US has a serious obesity problem and part of that is due to the food we eat. So check out the website and commit to eating REAL FOOD on FOOD DAY, October 24. How about a big bowl of green beans, perhaps?

South Shore Celebration a Hit!

We had a fantastic day at the South Shore Celebration in Marshfield MA this Saturday. They estimated attendance at 2500 - there was a steady stream of people all day long. People were curious and interested in the environment.

We appreciated that the organizers set up a zero waste event. All food vendors were required to use recyclable or compostable plates, napkins and utensils. No bottled water at this event!
